We all want love. To be and to give. I did even when I said otherwise. Love is different for everyone. Partnership is different for everyone. As we move along in life we meet many different people who shape our perception on love. We love many different people in many different ways. Finding what we like, need, hate, never want to go back to. It teaches us about ourselves.
I’m fortunate enough to say I’ve been in love twice. One of those times it was, as Carrie Bradshaw puts it, “Real love. Ridiculous, inconvenient, consuming, can’t-live-without-each-other-love.” Unfortunately, both ended up tragic. Never to reunite. Never to reconcile. It’s been a lesson in never taking love for granted as you never know when you’ll lose that love, forever.
