Epilepsy and the paralympics

Epilepsy doesn’t stop athletes from achieving greatness, even at the Paralympics. For instance, Margaret McEleny, a Paralympic swimmer from Scotland, has won multiple medals despite living with epilepsy1. Another inspiring story is Evan Molloy, a judo competitor from Devizes, Wiltshire, who has been seizure-free for nearly five years thanks to the right medication. He aims to represent Team GB in the upcoming Paralympics2.

These athletes show that with the right support and determination, epilepsy doesn’t have to be a barrier to success in sports. Are you interested in learning more about any specific athlete or aspect of epilepsy in sports?
