Our Life Circumstances Are Not Unique– Others Go Through This Too

The most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss These persons have an appreciation, a sensitivity, and an understanding of life that fills them with compassion, gentleness, and deep loving concern. 

When I was going through some ugly times I remember being told more than once   I don’t remember if that made me feel any better. 

But what I do remember is the first time it came true.  I was in a group and a lady got an awful call about her child.  Immediately it took me back to my same experience 6 years prior.  All the pain I had gone through was replaced by sincere compassion for a lady I had just met.  She tried to play the details off like it wasn’t that bad.  But I was able to stand by her and admit it was bad…
