It’s funny how, despite knowing about these things, and seeing them on tv etc, and you think you understand the relative perspectives, until you actually go through it, you totally don’t, only intellectually. It’s like the actual experience changes your DNA. Alters you in a way that academic comprehension just can’t simulate.
Picking up from where we left off, the emergency police basically removed me from the scene of potential harm, handed my my cat (in carrier) and sword, and left me on a street corner, essentially homeless and not knowing wtf to do. When you have a cat and a sword, your accomodation options are , not surprisingly, somewhat reduced.
