The story of The golden toilet

The golden toilet at Blenheim Palace, also known as “America,” was a fully functioning 18-carat gold toilet created by Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan. It was a star attraction in an exhibition at the Oxfordshire palace, which is the birthplace of Winston Churchill2.

In September 2019, the toilet was stolen in an audacious raid by thieves who used sledgehammers to break into the palace2. The theft took just five minutes, and the toilet was believed to have been broken up and sold for gold2. The incident has been the subject of ongoing legal proceedings, with several individuals accused of involvement in the theft and subsequent sale of the gold
