
The boys that I nanny for George (7yrs) and Clay (5yrs) are beyond competitive. The family is raising them and training them to hopefully make it to the NHL some day. (this could be a whole other post)
But my focus today is on the reaction internally that I have been having in regards to the constant “wanting to be better than everyone else” attitude that they both are fostering.
So when I came across the quote from the Tao I understood why it feels so uncomfortable for me when George tells Clay that he is not as good as him – (and this happens almost every 30 minutes in regards to ANYTHING).
Clay after years of being told he is not as “good” as George now has taken on the same behaviors.
