I moderate 2 email support groups related to mental health. One of them is a general mental health support group. The other one is for people with a dissociative disorder or who have complex PTSD and who are trauma survivors.
Moderating groups isn’t easy. It takes a lot of effort.
I have been quite lucky, my groups are relatively drama free.
I hate drama, so I tend to want to keep it off of my groups.
I haven’t had to remove too many people from the groups, but there have been times where I’ve had to remove someone.
Either because they started drama, or because they ended up not being a good fit for the group.
Sometimes, you don’t know right away whether someone is a good fit or not.
I do love having groups, they’ve been a godsend to me and the members have supported me through a lot…
