Helping Friends
In Scotland we have a saying ” When we are going up to the hill of fortune may we ne’er meet a friend coming down“.
Ideally we, and our friends, would travel up the hill together. But surely times of improved fortune are ideal to meet others whose life has taken a downturn, so we can help them back up.
What is the point in climbing the hill in the first place if not for the opportunity it gives…
