or control political propaganda votes”

Heard it said when I worked for the newspaper,
“Wars are good for sales and profits”
I was employed there while the war was on in Iraq.
Seeing the propaganda from behind their closed doors
Making the rules up to suit… their own laws.
Never again did I trust broadcasts from mainstream media,
Always reporting fear, division and hysteria.
People mindlessly read all the news,
Never questioning any of the views.
Then the bosses would all laugh together each day,
At the power and ability they had to create
“Recessions” in their own misleading way.
Printing news of dread and fear and lack
Many thought that we had a ‘recession’ to grasp
