I didn’t get to say goodbye

I didn’t get to hold your hand

I didn’t get to see your face

Just one more time

Before my end

And you know I’ll be waiting

Here on the other side

God still has big plans for you

Yes, it’s okay to cry

I hope that you were proud of me

I hope my memories make you smile

I hope you never lose your faith

Sometimes it’s tempting

Just for awhile

And as you travel through your life

Please, always understand

We are temporary dwellers

Just dreamers in a fairyland
