This is ‘Our Benji’! Now although he is our much loved dog so far he has cost us a lot of money on two occasions.
On the first he polished off a fruit cake which meant a trip to the vet to have charcoal put down his throat to make him sick. It also meant lots of medication but as you can see he survived that ‘close shave with death’
Our Benji didn’t stop there because he has a habit of eating foreign objects, the latest being grass seed which got stuck in his throat.
At first we noticed he was off his food and didn’t know what was wrong. Then I discovered a slight swelling in his lower jaw. So yet another visit to vet who eventually found the grass seed and Benji currently looks like this.
Because he keeps trying to get this cone off (and he has succeeded several times) I have had to sleep in spare room for over a week now
